Description

This DREMC ABS Filament 1.75mm 1kg provides durability, high impact and heat resistance, - perfect for creating 3D printed projects that demand long-lasting results. 

Materials Features/Applications

  • High quality ABS (not mix / blended), suitable for acetone smoothing unlikes our ABS+
  • Ideal for everyday printing and delivers high quality functional parts
  • Higher strength compare to our ABS+ with reduce ease of print-ability in semi open enclosure such as Ender 3, we recommended a high chamber temperature at least 60-80c to reduce warping for larger prints. We recommended our ABS+ if you don't need to acetone smooth parts. May able to print smaller parts at lower chamber temperature but may find brim is required for some build surfaces.

Printing Settings

For best results, dry filament using a filament drier before use or print from dryer running or dry box. Keep in an airtight container or included mylar bag for medium/long term storage with silica desiccant. Nozzle Temperature 230°C - 250°C
Build Plate Temperature 100°C - 110°C
Build Surface Material Works well with most common build surfaces. We recommended PEI Build Plate (Smooth/Texture suitable)
Build Surface Treatment Typically none required. Some surfaces such as glass work best with PVA glue stick or Magigoo .
Enclosure / Heater Chambers

At minimal passive enclosure. 
60-80˚C+ may be required for higher density and larger geometries.

Recommend VOC/Air Filtering/fume extraction or print in well ventilated room with fume extraction. 

Cooling Fan LOW for better surface quality
OFF for better strength
Printing Speed 30 mm/s - 100 mm/s
Retraction The ideal retraction settings vary from printer to printer. If you find the retraction settings are causing gaps in your part, the following settings may help.
Direct Drive: Retraction distance of 0.5 - 1mm with retraction speed of 20mm/s
Bowden: Retraction distance of 2 - 3mm with retraction speed of 20 - 40mm/s
Drying Recommendation  ~50°c for 4-6hrs (Only dry if filament is wet, over drying/repeat drying can damage filament)  (Filament Dryer Guide) (Filament Clamp Recommend)
Storage Keeping filament in an airtight container with new/dried desiccant.
