For shipping prices, please use the above estimated shipping costs. Shipping costs depend on your location, order size, and desired courier service and provider. Orders are dispatched within the same or 1-2 business day for in-stock products from local Brisbane Queensland warehouse depending on courier. Courier Please/Aramex rates are calculated only at checkout.

We highly suggest using AusPost Express for urgent deliveries or AusPost Standard for remote/rural areas. If you want us to manual quote freight for large complex order, please contact support for quote. As larger flat items and long product are shipped separately compared to general spares/filament to ensure those arrived safely.

Aramex, CourierPlease, and AusPost Tracked Letter are excluded from same-day dispatch and will be dispatched within 1-2 business days. See our full policy and expectation: https://store.dremc.com.au/policies/shipping-policy

Our domestic shipping rates start at:

  • from $9+ AusPost Standard Post (typically 2-10+ business days*, tracked)
  • from $10 + AusPost Express Post (typically 1 to 4+ business days*, tracked)
  • from $9+  AramexCourier Please) (typically 1-7+ business day* within Metro SE QLD/NSW/VIC/ACT, 2-12+ business days interstate, tracked) (We don't recommended this service for WA/TAS)

*Please note that we do not offer any transit time guarantees or compensation if the item arrives later than expected. The provided ETA reflects the courier's estimated transit time after the item has been picked up. Please also account for an additional 1-3 business days for rural or remote areas or potentially delay with delivery network.

Please use below as shipping time frame expectations for metro area. All order will be ready to be pick up by courier by next business day or same day for some some couriers, on rare occasional outside our control miss pickup by courier can occur, if that occurs item may be delay by 1-2 business day and we will make other arrangement to have item dispatch in a reasonable time frame.

A feature-packed mainboard for advanced users (STM723 SKU)

(Note, there are two SKU's of the Octopus Pro 1.1, this is the better one that has a more powerful STM723 MCU, however BTT's Github is lacking documentation for this particular SKU and promo material suggests its the less powerful STM32F - if you don't know what this difference is, consider getting the Kraken or Octopus 2.0 8P)

The Octopus 1.1 Pro is similar to the Manta 8P and Kraken moanboards, but a lot more customizable. Whilst the Manta 8P can use a Pi CM4/BTT CB1/2 and has a dedicated connector for it, like with the Kraken, you will need to use the full Pi-based board on the Octopus. All of the STM732-based models can run Marlin and RepRapFirmware on their own, but ideally you should pair them with a Pi board to run Klipper to really unlock their potential.

The pros of this board over the Manta 8P is that whilst both of them are very modular, allowing you to choose your preferred stepper motors drivers. The Manta is a bit neater and cheaper when paired with a CM4/BTT CB1/2 (recommend the CB2 for the extra RAM and processor power), and the Kraken comes with 8 TMC2160 drivers (which from what I can tell are better than TMC2209, being essentially TMC5160's with some of the features not relevant to most 3D printers stripped out), and has a few other QoL features that you have to buy expansion cards to get to work on the Octopus Pro (making it a bit easier to get up and running for a premium cost)

In contrast, the Octopus Pro is by far the most flexible when it comes to picking the features you want. Like with the Manta, you can choose your own steppers motor drivers based on your needs as well as other add-on boards, when using a Pi + Klipper, its by far the most modular and expandable - you could even add secondary mainboard using a the extra USB ports on a Pi-based board (When paired with a power powerful Pi, you could even use it to run a Box Turtle or similar). Its got enough heater outputs for a multi-nozzle build, though if you're putting it in a Bedslinger build, its a bit of a PITA to get dual ADXL345's working unless you use USB/CAN based accelerometers).

So why only four stars? Like I mentioned, the documentation definitely requires REALLY knowing what you're doing, or be willing to learn in a lot of detail and reading community forums to find the missing info. If you want something relatively all-in-one that can connect to a CM4-based board but with some level of expansion whilst maintaining a budget, then the Manta 8P 2.0 would be more suitable. For a more premium "everything but the kitchen sink that is a bit easier for intermediate users, the Kraken might be worth the price premium.

The loss of a star on this shouldn't detract from how good the board is, but to act a s warning to those who have never built their own printer (or modded an existing one) that this card is a much more advanced DIY mainboard, and is more at risk of user-error damage if you're not REALLY well versed in what you're doing.
