Dissatisfied

I recieved this prduct and installed it on my CR6 Max with no success, I couldn't find any installation information online for my particular model printer, nearest model was CR6 Se. No accurate info about what to set the Vref to. I am unsure if I am installing it incorrectly or thr unit is faulty, Im not sure how to test the unit itself. I dont like complaining I just dont recommend a product that doesn't work for me.

Hi Michael

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the installation on your CR6 Max. I couldn't find any support ticket with us. Did you contact us or Bondtech regarding these issues or concerns?

We’ve attempted to contact you via email three times over the past two weeks but have not received a response. If you require assistance or additional clarification, please reach out to us we are here to offer assistant. As we can see that our emails have been opened and viewed.

I’d like to assist you in troubleshooting the issue. In regards to install information, the to mount the extruder would be same for CR6SE and CR6 SE Max, please see below documentation information.

In regards to VREF, please refer to our support articles, which include a video. For the stock mainboard, it would be TMC2208, and you may want to start with a voltage of around 1.25V. If you're running Klipper or community firmware, you can adjust the run current within the screen or firmware. The optimal run current for the motor will depend on your use case, so you may need to adjust it based on whether the motor is overheating or not providing enough torque.

small form factor but packs a punch

I went from a dual gear Bowden style extruder to direct driving this LGX lite and couldn't be happier.

Simply printed off a mount I found online and it was good to go.

Simple plug and play so didn't need to solder or join any wiring, although you'll need too if you want to shorten the cable if you're using a tool head board capable of canbus etc. I did, and still easy.

Adjust the vref on your mainboard to suit the extruder and your printer, calibrate your esteps (or rotation distance for klipper) and you're good to go and begin calibrating.

Comes with a stepper motor which is nice and light compared to my stock one. Works perfectly with my setup.

Very happy with the outcome of this purchase.

Awesome extruder. Very small and powerful

Hasn’t skipped a beat (or any steps) since I installed it.
Plenty of mounting options available for various hotends & gantries
