At DREMC, we know how important it is to get your 3D printer parts and accessories to you as quickly and reliably as possible. That’s why we pack every order with care and aim to have it ready for courier collection within the same or next business day.
However, there’s one part of the shipping process that’s a little different from what many customers expect: the way shipping options are displayed at checkout.
Why the Cheapest Option Shows First
Shopify, the platform that powers our store, automatically sorts available shipping methods by price. This means the lowest‑cost option always appears at the top, regardless of delivery speed or carrier preference. While this follows Shopify’s best practices for transparency, it can sometimes make faster services like DHL Express or Australia Post Express appear further down the list.

We don’t have the ability to re‑order these options manually. So if you’re in a hurry, it’s worth scrolling through the available carriers to pick the one that best suits your delivery timeline.
Your Carrier Choices
When you check out, you’ll typically see a range of carriers, including:
-
Australia Post (Standard and Express)
-
Couriers Please
-
Aramex
-
DHL Express
-
FedEx
Each has its own delivery speed and tracking capabilities. If you have a preference based on past experience or local reliability, simply select it during checkout.
What We Do on Our End
We take pride in our operations. Once you place an order, our team gets to work packing it promptly, usually within the same business day for orders placed before our cut‑off time or when courier collects our ordedr. All orders are handed over to the chosen carrier the next business day at the latest. If not, we will follow up with coureir directly regarding missed/delay pick ups.
A Note on Carrier Delays
While we do everything possible to ensure your parcel leaves our warehouse quickly, once it’s with the carrier, the delivery timeline is outside our control. Occasionally, contractors or local depots may experience delays. If you ever have concerns about a shipment, we’re happy to help track it down or assist with any issues.
Why Don’t You Remove the Slower, Lower‑Cost Carriers?
It’s a fair question. Some of the budget‑friendly carriers, like Aramex or Couriers Please can occasionally be slower or less consistent than premium options like DHL Express or Australia Post Express. So why keep them?
Because not every customer needs express shipping.
We know that for many hobbyists, makers, and small businesses, keeping costs down matters just as much as getting a package overnight. Whether you’re ordering filament for a long‑term project, stocking up on spare parts, or simply not in a rush, the lowest‑price shipping option can make a real difference to your bottom line.
By offering a range of carriers, we let you choose what matters most for each order:
-
Lowest cost – pick the budget carrier and save.
-
Fastest delivery – choose DHL Express or Australia Post Express.
-
Your trusted local carrier – if you’ve had good experiences with a particular courier, select them at checkout. As found sometimes the lower cost carrier is similar or quicker speed depending on the area.
Removing the lower‑cost options would force every customer to pay more for shipping, even when speed isn’t a priority. We believe in giving you the flexibility to decide.
Of course, we continue to monitor carrier performance and adjust our offerings where we can. But as long as there’s demand for affordable shipping, we’ll keep those options available and we’ll always do our part to pack and dispatch your order without delay.
